Maureen McKade Wins 2007 RT Reviewer's
Award
For the second consecutive year Maureen McKade has won the Romantic TImes Reviewer's Choice Award for the best American-set Historical Romance. Her winning novel was A Reason To Believe. Her winning novel in 2006 was A Reason to Live. Remembered Is Inspirational Finalist

Natasha Kern has been nominated for Agent of the Year by the ACFW (American Christian
Fiction Writers). The winner of the award will be announced September 20,
2008 at the ACFW Conference in Minneapolis.
Lutishia Lovely a Nominee in Contemporary Fiction
Lutishia Lovely's book Sex in the Sanctuary has been nominated in the Contemporary Fiction category by Afr’Am Fest’s Literary Café. In support of its literacy campaign, “Reading is a Family Affair,” Afr’Am Fest announced its first ever Literary Award Program nominations. The Literary Award Program will highlight some of the best of the best in African-American literature published in 2007. Robin Lee Hatcher Wins Two ACFW 2007 Awards.
Two of Robin Lee Hatcher's books won ACFW awards in the category of Contemporary Novella. A Carol For Christmas won 2nd place, and Diamond Place won 3rd place. The winners were announced at the ACFW Conference in Dallas (September 2007). Clare and Raye Are 2007 RITA Finalists
Two agency clients Pamela Clare and Kimberly Raye were announced as 2007 RITA Award finalists. Pamela Clare was nominated in the Best Long Historical category for her novel Surrender. Kimberly Raye was nominated in the Novel With Strong Romantic Elements category for her story Dead End Dating. Clyde Ford Wins Hurston/Wright Award
Clyde Ford won the Hurston/Wright
Award for contemporary fiction for
his novel The Long Mile. The awards were announced November 3,
2006 at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. See the Washington

Winds of Sonoma Best Book of Year
Nikki Arana's Winds of Sonoma won the Best Book of the Year in Women's
Fiction from the ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) group. Nikki appreciates
the honor from over 1,000 fellow writers. The announcement was made in September
2006.
Robin Lee Hatcher Wins 2005
Write Touch Readers' Awards
Robin
Lee Hatcher won 1st place in the inspirational / traditional fiction category
of the 2005 Write Touch Readers' Award with her novel Catching
Katie. Robin's
novel Beyond the Shadows won 2nd place in this same category.
Michael Joens Wins Rosebud Award
Michael Joens won the Rosebud award from Rendezvous Reviews for his mystery An Animated Death in Burban. He is the second male author to receive this award in its five year history. This was awared in recognition of the launch of his Sandra Cameron mystery series. |
Three RITA 2008 Finalists
Three agency clients have become finalists for this year's Romance Writer's of America RITA Awards: for Contemporary Series Romance, Night Mischief, by Nina Bruhns; for Contemporary Series Romance: Suspense/Adventure, Untouched, by Samantha Hunter; and for Contemporary Single Title Romance, Sexiest Man Alive, by Diana Holquist. Winners will be anounced at the RWA 2008 Convention at the end of July. Unlawful Contact Gets RT Stars

Christopher Cokinos Captures Glasgow Prize
Christopher Cokinos author of Hope
Is the Thing With Feathers (Tarcher/Warner) was awarded
the coveted Glasgow Prize for an Emerging Writer in Nonfiction
2002. Along with a monetary prize, two of Cokinos' essays will
run in Shenandoah and he will spend a week at Washington & Lee
University in Virginia as a writing mentor.
